![]() I’m an optimist and idealist, and people writing many of these one star reviews think they don’t “get it” just because they’re not artists….well, as an artist I can tell you there’s nothing to get- except the fact that it’s a bunch of self aggrandizing overinflated crap that really reflects the degradation of society and separation of classes over the last 10 years. I really try to see the good in everything. If you want an amazing contemporary art experience, go to a Meow Wolf exhibit. And to the guy who wrote the review that said to let your wives go in and wait at the brewery?…don’t do that!! That would be torturing your wife!! Luckily my husband and I have a sense of humor and enjoy each other’s company which is the only thing that will get you through this. Heck, even if you aren’t an artist i bet you would make a better piece. I myself have few, so.īecause let me tell you, My husband and I are both artists, and like us you’ll feel way better about the art you create if you come here… I guarantee you that you can make much better and more interesting pieces than what was in here. ![]() However, I think that your level of interest here will roughly correlate to the number of tattoos and piercings you have. Some of the exhibits made for interesting photos. This was a good break in our afternoon drive, with ample exercise in wandering the large spaces. There are also some works outdoors (a dome with an oculus in the top, a series of cement vertical tubes, etc.). There were various ‘modern art’ works including video, painting, mixed media, suspended lights, sculptures, etc. One huge room contained what purported to be a mini roller coaster that you could ride, but it was down for maintenance. There were a lot of individual exhibits spread across them. You can explore the 3 floors of interconnected buildings in whatever route you choose. I'm not sure what this is about, but it makes you want to not linger there. These were in a dungeon-like basement along with the main restrooms, where heavy bass notes played on some sort of loop, adding to the creepy ambience. on a Monday admission was $20 apiece to get in and we had to check our bag into a locker. This museum was built into some huge complex of old brick industrial buildings.
